Reverse Martingale Roulette Strategy

If you have played roulette before, you may already have a clear recognition of how important strategizing is as you start making your bets. For all of those who are planning to venture in the world of roulette, you must understand that roulette strategies cannot and will never give you a hundred percent win every time you use them. Nevertheless, they can provide you guidance as you play roulette. One of the most controversial and perhaps widely used roulette strategies today is the Reverse Martingale roulette strategy. How exactly does the Reverse Martingale strategy work? What makes it different from the Martingale and the Grand Martingale roulette strategy? How effective is the Reverse Martingale strategy?

The Martingale, Grand Martingale and the Reverse Martingale Roulette Strategies

When roulette was first played, people immediately tried to create ways of beating it. We have to remember that unlike other gambling games like Black Jack or Poker, roulette was far much easier to play. It would have been easy money for anyone who has found the way to beat it.

One of the earliest roulette strategies is the Martingale roulette strategy. Since it was created, there have been variations of its original concept including the Grand Martingale and the Reverse Martingale roulette strategies. The Martingale, the Grand Martingale and the Reverse Martingale roulette strategies are forms of progressive betting. Progressive betting means that you would have to add some units to your bets after every win or every loss.

The Martingale roulette strategy has been here for more than 300 years. The whole idea of this strategy is to double your bet every time you lose a game. For example, you can start with a $5 bet and double it after you lose. You would have to make a $10 bet on the next game.

This is how the betting sequence should look like using the Martingale roulette strategy:

$5 – $10 – $20 – $40 – $80 – $160 – $320

The Grand Martingale roulette strategy on the other hand uses the same concept as the Martingale roulette strategy only that apart from doubling your bet every time you lose, you will have to add another unit to it.

The Grand Martingale betting sequence should be this way:

$5 – $15 – $35 – $75 – $155 – $315

Finally, the Reverse Martingale roulette strategy will require you to double or increase your bet every time you win a game. Unlike the other roulettes strategies, the Reverse Martingale roulette strategy is looking for the win and not the game you lost. If you lose a game, you will have to revert or go back to a one unit bet. Remember that when using the Reverse Martingale roulette strategy, you have a choice of doubling or just increasing you bet.

The Reverse Martingale roulette strategy sequence may look this way:

$5 – $10 – $20 – $40 – $80 – $160 – $320

Or

$5 – $7.5 – $10 – $15 – $20 – $30

The Dangers of Using the Reverse Martingale Roulette Strategy

Once again, you have to understand that the Reverse Martingale Roulette Strategy is a form of progressive betting. Progressive betting strategies are done hoping to win back the money that you may have lost in the previous rounds.

The primary danger of using progressive betting strategies like the Reverse Martingale roulette strategy is that you may not actually get the results that you have been hoping for. Since you will be adding units to your bets, you may lose more than what you may have won.

The best thing to do in using the Reverse Martingale roulette strategy is to make an outline or to set a limit as to how much money you would use in a particular roulette session. This limit is your cue as to when to stop making bets. Setting a limit will not only help you enjoy the game but most importantly to help you avoid spending what you cannot really afford to spend.
